It was a perfect warm, sunny, midsummer day.  I arrived at the pretty blue and white mews cottage, as I had been invited to photograph the wedding preparations.  I really love photographing the bridal preparations, so much excitement and anticipation, bubbles of laughter and prosecco, the tinkling of glasses, peals of giggles, the scent of fresh flowers, make-up, hair spray, heaps of lace, veils, headdresses, favourite jewellery, beautiful gowns, friends and close family.  And then on to the London Wedding venue which was at The Orangery, in Holland Park.

And this beautiful venue did not disappoint.  It is a delightful, light-filled, classical orangery within the park and grounds of Holland Park, next to the Belvedere Restaurant, in London and ideal for a large or smaller wedding, with plenty of space and grounds to run around for children and babies.  It is such a pretty space and is found in Holland Park. The guests were gathering on the lawn outside and Richard, the Groom and his best man and ushers were there to welcome everyone.  It was the start to an exciting and fabulous, yet chilled and relaxed wedding day.

It was a glorious english summer's day. I arrived early at the pretty mews cottage as I had been invited to photograph the wedding preparations. It was the start of a glorious Summer Wedding day.

The bride, Lizzie, proudly accompanied by her father, was piped in and down the aisle for the wedding ceremony within The Orangery. It was a lovely and vibrant wedding ceremony, with a reading and hymns that were ideal for the children as well as older guests.

The ceremony was followed by showers of confetti, hugs, and congratulations for the bride and groom and then on to an admirable performance of The Highland Fling expertly danced by the bride and her sister. Drinks, canapes, and fresh oysters were served out on the lawns followed by a sumptuous wedding breakfast provided by Party Ingredients, with specially chosen wines from Nutbourne Vineyards, all served and enjoyed beneath the cool shade of The Orangery.  The vibe was charming, elegant, relaxed, and fun.

The Little Top provided excellent care and a safe play space for the little ones, and after the wedding breakfast, everyone spilled back out onto the lawns beside The Orangery to chat, mingle and enjoy the sunshine and afternoon cream tea laid out in the marquee. The afternoon tea was served with the most glorious chilled, soft, velvet dessert wine from a very large bottle of Secret du Chateau Biac, 2016.

What a fantastic day as you can see from this slideshow.  Thank you Richard and Lizzie, for choosing me to capture you fabulous wedding day.
