When Craft Gin and Whisky Distillers, Bathurst Grange Distillery first got in touch about their Brand, Lifestyle and Personal Brand photography shoot, I was so thrilled.
As well as needing images to help them with their social media posts and online presence, the business owners of this independent craft gin and craft whisky distillery, were especially in need of photographs for a brochure for a new venture they are planning, as well as for their PR and social media posts. The Jones family, who run the distillery on their farm in the Blue Mountains in Australia, are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to do this shoot for them, whilst I was in Australia, visiting my family there!
During the consultation and preparation for their brand shoot, the business owners explained that they wanted plenty of photos, not just of their products, but also of themselves, behind the scenes, their love of their animals, working together in the distillery, their lovely grounds and the traditional old farmhouse and farmland (which they also hoped to offer as a bed and breakfast / events venue soon), as well as giving some insight in to them as a family, and their hard working ethos, and to reflect their values of honesty, authenticity and heritage. The whole family were over the moon with their photographs and the service too!
It’s not everyday you get to see inside a Gin Distillery (the whisky is now distilled and sitting quietly whilst it matures) so I was very excited to carry out this photography shoot, even though we were in 40c heat, and that was in the early evening!
