It was a warm Spring day. The sun shone brightly - it was the perfect day for a wedding in Uxbridge. This was the first Saturday since government restrictions had eased on weddings and this amazing wedding couple, Joey and Dan, were so excited to be finally tying the knot and getting married in Uxbridge, West London, at Uxbridge Registry Office! And what a fabulous day it turned out to be!
The bride and groom had booked me a few weeks before to photograph their special wedding day. I met the groom and his best man outside Uxbridge Registry Office in good time before the wedding ceremony was due to begin. Soon, the close family and friends were arriving and it was not long before everyone was settled inside the ceremony room, suitably masked and socially distanced as required. And then it was time for beautiful bride Joey and her father, to walk down the aisle to marry her groom, Dan.
It was a lovely, intimate wedding ceremony and soon the bride and groom were so happy and delighted as they walked back up the aisle to everyone clapping and cheering them on. Soon we were all outside, down the stairs, and out into the bright Spring sunshine.
There was time for some fun family and group photographs, some romantic couple bride and groom portraits, and lots of fun with loads of confetti!
And soon we were all off, to walk along through Uxbridge High Street, past Uxbridge Underground Station, and on to the local restaurant, Nonna Rosa, for glasses of bubbly and delicious Italian food upstairs, outside on the roof terrace.
It was a fabulous day, filled with love and laughter and happiness, the sort of day where lots of wonderful memories were made, and you can see those memories captured here in this video.
